Blogger Prompt: Week 3 - Term 4

This week's blogger prompt about athletics as our school athletics is this Tuesday.  Watch the videos attached below.

776 BC
The ancient Olympic Games began in the year 776 BC, when Koroibos, a cook from the nearby city of Elis, won the stadium race, a foot race 600 feet long. According to some literary traditions, this was the only athletic event of the games for the first 13 Olympic festivals.
How did track and field begin?
Track and field is one of the oldest of sports. Athletic contests were often held in conjunction with religious festivals, as with the Olympic Games of ancient Greece. For 11 centuries, starting in 776 B.C., these affairs — for men only — were enormously popular and prestigious events.

4) What was your least favourite event and why? Sack Racing it was a Bit Baby-ish

6) Explain how you showed REP on athletics day? I did what the Teacher Asked

7) What was your favourite discipline while practising with your class? Explain why. I like Sprints because it was fun Racing my class.

8) If you could add any athletics event what would it be and why? Javelin 

9) What is your Year 9 athletics goal? Suprise, Suprise - yes there is athletics at high school! Make it to The Final Zone.

10) Are you keen to keep practising athletics events even when our school athletics is over? If yes  - what discipline / If no - why
